The circuit 3 Machu Picchu permit to explore lower Machu Picchu with a 3.5-hour hike to its highest point for stunning views.
Machu Picchu Circuits
The Ministry of Culture and UGM (Unidad de Gestión de Machu Picchu) are exerting every effort to protect the historical area of Machu Picchu. In 2024, they launched a preservation project exclusively for safeguarding this Inca citadel for future generations and visitors, introducing the Machu Picchu circuits for 2025.
The Machu Picchu circuits now include new routes to explore the citadel: Panoramic, where you can view from the Guardian House and take the best pictures; Classic, where you can explore the entire Inca citadel; and Royalty, where you can explore the lower part of the citadel. The aim of creating the Machu Picchu Circuits is to provide new itineraries that give visitors the opportunity to encounter Machu Picchu in a more personalized and quiet manner, experiencing places within the citadel that were previously forbidden.
