The Ministry of Culture of Lima has launched an official website where you can purchase tickets to visit Machu Picchu in 2026.
The new platform to get your Machu Picchu tickets for 2026 is www.tuboleto.cultura.pe, the official website of the Peruvian government. This new site replaces [www.machupicchu.gob.pe], which now only provides information about the available circuits and the history of Machu Picchu.
The new Machu Picchu ticketing system, tuboleto.cultura.pe, is operated by the Ministry of Culture Lima and is the official channel for selling Machu Picchu entrance tickets. Before booking, users must create an account. Each registered user may reserve up to five tickets.
If you prefer to obtain Machu Picchu tickets without complications and stay informed about the different circuits, we recommend using boletoperu.pe or Machu Picchu Tickets.

⚠️ Important Notice
In 2025, many travelers had problems with the online reservation system. Some tourists booked and paid for tickets only to find out upon arrival that their reservations were invalid or unavailable. For this reason, it is essential to verify your reservation with the Ministry of Culture after making your purchase.
After buying your Machu Picchu tickets, make sure you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive it, please contact us.

Don’t wait until the last minute!
Please note that when purchasing Machu Picchu tickets for 2026, the total price does not include bank fees or credit card charges. The Ministry of Culture will apply additional fees depending on your selected payment method.
The new website, www.tuboleto.cultura.pe, will exclusively sell tickets for Machu Picchu, Kuelap and other Peruvian museums. In the future, it will include Choquequirao and other Peruvian attractions.
Additionally, there are other official platforms operated by registered travel agencies in Cusco, such as:
Booking through these companies is safe and secure. Their teams will contact you during the reservation process, assist you step by step, and send your tickets via email. If you lose your tickets, simply contact the agency again, and they will resend them. These agencies operate 24/7 and also offer official local tour guides for Machu Picchu, which can enhance your visit with a guided experience.
Machu Picchu Travel Agency
Although there are many Machu Picchu travel agencies, we recommend visiting the official websites of MINCETUR or GERCETUR. These are government agencies dedicated to tourism in Peru. There, you can find a verified list of registered travel agencies and tour operators to help you choose the most reliable one.
Many travelers use TripAdvisor and others plataform to find or book a travel agency. However, be cautious—TripAdvisor reviews can be manipulated by bots or fake review farms, which can give certain companies an unfair advantage.

To promote quality tourism, MINCETUR created CALTUR, a certification program that evaluates tour operators and travel agencies committed to providing high-quality service. Agencies must pass several assessments and comply with tourism quality standards similar to ISO to obtain the CALTUR certification. Once approved, they are granted the CALTUR certificate as proof of excellence.

The Ministry of Culture has posted on social media:
“The Ministry of Culture began training operators and tourism agencies on the new Platform for the Management of Visits to Cultural Centers, developed by the cultural entity in conjunction with the Secretariat of Government and Digital Transformation (SGTD) of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), as the governing body of the National Digital Transformation System.
The technical team of the Ministry of Culture presented the characteristics and advantages of the ‘Agencies and Reservations‘ module, which is part of the modules that make up the new platform, in sessions held at the facilities of the Casa de la Cultura de la Casa San Bernardo in Cusco. The attendees expressed their opinions and questions, which were answered by the technical team regarding the operation of the sales modules for the llaqta Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail, as well as the control modules, processes and payment gateways, reservations, and cancellations.

Training sessions will continue to take place on July 24 and 25 at the same cultural center, in different groups and at times ranging from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., in order to serve and receive all agencies and operators registered on the current platform.”
Why not use gob.pe?
The Peruvian government uses the url gob.pe for official state websites. No private company can use the gob.pe url. The Ministry of Culture is now using the .pe domain, with www.tuboleto.cultura.pe being promoted in 2024 by the Ministry of Culture’s.
